Occupational therapy is a holistic profession. As specialists in improving quality of life, OT practitioners have a wealth of knowledge and expertise to empower women to live healthier, fuller, more meaningful lives in their journey toward health and well-being.
Women's wellness areas supported by OTs:
Physical: Our physical body; need for movement, nutrition, and rest.
Emotional: Psychological Well-being, our ability to manage the challenges of life and feel fulfillment.
Financial: our degree of contentment with our financial resources; a sense of security.
Social: our sense of belonging, connection, and support within our relationships.
Environmental: Backdrop of our lives (home life, workplace, community, world, etc.).
Intellectual; Our creative outlets' ability to take on challenges that expand our understanding, knowledge, and skills.
